West Australia’s northern coast is home to one of the world’s most prolific and unique wild fisheries. Onboard Eclipse you will have the opportunity to fish for a vast range of estuary, reef and pelagic fish in the technique of your choice. Eclipse is equipped with quality bait, trolling and spin casting rigs and we even cater for saltwater fly fisherman.
Our tenders are specifically configured as fishing platforms for all modes of fishing and our crew are all seasoned anglers so whether you’re a novice caster or an avid angler, they can help you secure a catch you will be proud of.
In the rivers and estuaries, you will encounter the fabled Barramundi, a hard fighting iconic predator that will test all your skills and provide aerobatic thrills as they try to elude the net. Other species you will fish for are Mangrove Jack, Threadfin Salmon and Fingermark, all fine fighting fish and all exceptional table fish.
On the reefs and offshore Islands, we will angle for Coral Trout, Baldchin Groper, Emperor WA Dhufish and a multitude of other species.
Around the reefs and where the rivers and creeks meet the ocean the pelagic and large predatory fish rule. On light tackle or trolling gear, you can expect to battle Spanish Mackerel, Queenfish, Golden and Giant Trevally, Dorado and Tuna. Out wide of the Montebello Islands, you may even have the opportunity to raise a revered Sailfish.
