Voyage Itinerary

An ocean journey through remote islands, rich reef systems and remarkable coastal wilderness. 

Over the course of your voyage, Eclipse will cover approximately 220 nautical miles—primarily in daylight—exploring remote islands, fringing reefs and calm coastal anchorages. The Ningaloo Voyager is fully customisable to your interests. The following is a sample itinerary that can be tailored to suit your preferences.

Day 01
Exmouth: Welcome Aboard
Join Eclipse in the Exmouth Marina at 3:00pm. Settle into your cabin, meet your crew and enjoy welcome drinks during your vessel familiarisation and safety briefing. As we cruise across the Exmouth Gulf toward your first remote anchorage, relax into the evening with sunset drinks and nibbles before dinner onboard.

Day 02
Eastern Gulf
Begin the day exploring the eastern side of the gulf with an early morning fish. Return to a cooked breakfast before a mud-crabbing adventure on the tide. After lunch onboard, Eclipse sets course for Long Island, trolling for mackerel, wahoo and tuna along the way. Anchor at Long Island in the early evening.

Long Island
Enjoy a gentle morning on the water—stand-up paddle boarding, beachcombing and snorkelling the shallow coral reef straight off the beach. After lunch onboard, we cruise north toward Thevenard Island with opportunities for surface trolling en route. Arrive and anchor in the early evening.

Make the most of the island’s facilities and scenic environment with optional activities such as guided snorkelling, a kayak tour, a beach hike or a sunset stand-up paddle. Depart early afternoon for Varanus Island, enjoying sunset drinks and dinner underway. Anchor at Varanus late evening.

Varanus Island
A spectacular day for fishing, snorkelling and diving. Start with an early morning fish before a cooked breakfast onboard. Enjoy a mid-morning snorkel right from the swim platform and be be mesmerised by the world just below the hull. After lunch, head off to fringing reefs on the gently sloping sea floor for drift snorkelling across vibrant coral systems. Spend a relaxed evening at anchor ahead of tomorrow’s early departure.

Montebello Islands
Depart Varanus before sunrise for your journey into the magical Montebello archipelago. Arrive mid-morning and anchor in the southern chain. Explore the winding waterways of Willi Nilly Lagoon on the tide, then enjoy a low-tide snorkel inside the reef. In the afternoon, take a scenic walk on Alpha Island before beach drinks and a spectacular Montebello sunset.

Continue exploring the islands and surrounding reefs. Dive or snorkel vibrant coral gardens, or drift through one of the clear-water channels. After a late lunch onboard, Eclipse departs for Dampier. Arrive at Eaglehawk in the evening for your final night’s anchorage.

Dampier: Disembarkation
A short morning cruise brings Eclipse into Hampton Harbour. Guests disembark in Dampier at approximately 08:00.
