The Kimberley has a tropical climate characterised by two very distinct seasons. In the Dry Season, from late April til September, the region experiences clear blue skies, predominantly light winds and balmy days with some cooler mornings and nights. Temperatures during the dry season vary between 26 and 36 degrees in March and April, 14 and 30 degrees from June to August and 19 to 32 degrees during September. The Wet Season spans from October til April and the region sees increase humidity and rainfall during this time.

Very little of Eclipse’s Expeditions are conducted in the open sea and so for the majority of the cruise, you will experience very calm conditions. Along with the calm conditions, Eclipse is a catamaran making it a very stable cruising vessel. However if you have been prone to seasickness we do recommend bringing alone your own sea sickness medication as a precaution because by law we are, unable to distribute the medication.
