The Kimberley has a tropical climate characterised by two very distinct seasons. In the Dry Season, from late April til September, the region experiences clear blue skies, predominantly light winds and balmy days with some cooler mornings and nights. Temperatures during the dry season vary between 26 and 36 degrees in March and April, 14 and 30 degrees from June to August and 19 to 32 degrees during September. The Wet Season spans from October til April and the region sees increase humidity and rainfall during this time.

Eclipse is fully equipped with all the necessary tackle to help you land your dream fish so there is no need to bring a thing, however as we know keen anglers may have a preferred reel or rod, you are more than welcome to bring your own if you wish.

Ningaloo Coast & Montebello Islands

The voyage departs from Exmouth and travels north along the coast and into Dampier. Places that may be visited during the voyage include the Exmouth Gulf, the Mackerel and Thevenard Islands, Long Island, Veranus Island and the remote Montebello Islands archipelago.

Guests can expect a seamless balance of ocean exploration, guided shore walks and tranquil anchorages in some of Western Australia’s most pristine and secluded settings.

Guests may spot playful dolphins, sea lions, and  abundant birdlife . The South West’s protected turquoise bays also provide opportunities to swim and snorkel among marine life.

Expect warm sunny days, balmy evenings and temperate waters ideal for swimming and snorkelling.

Light, breathable clothing is best for the day, along with swimwear, a wide-brimmed hat and reef-safe sunscreen. Evenings can be cooler on the water, so a light jacket or shawl is recommended. For shore excursions, comfortable footwear and a reusable water bottle will serve you well. Eclipse provides all linens, towels, and snorkeling gear, so you can pack lightly.
