In late February, Eclipse completed her custom upgrades and Australian regulatory work in Cape Town and has finally departed South Africa for her Indian Ocean voyage to Western Australia .
On departure , it was a calm and clear evening in the Royal Victoria and Alfred Marina in Cape Town when our expert delivery crew stepped onboard and bid farewell to all those who assisted in the considerable preparation to get her to this momentous point.
With countless Leopard catamarans delivered to anchorages all over the world under his belt, the voyage ahead for our delivery Captain Gavin and his crew was a task he considered second nature.

Proud new co- owner Ryan was filled with immense feelings of accomplishment and excitement as he assisted the delivery crew to complete final preparations for the voyage to Fremantle.
With a favourable weather forecasted for the early stages of the crossing, spirits amongst the crew were high and excitement for the voyage ahead was plentiful. As the late night turned to the pre-dawn, the fresh provisions were loaded, the pre voyage final checks were ticked off, customs and immigration formalities completed, and the final goodbyes were waved.

Satisfied that the crew and Eclipse herself were completely prepared for the upcoming voyage to our West Australian coastline, Ryan stepped back onto marina, Eclipse’s mooring lines were cast free, and she gently edged away and sailed into the pre-dawn glow .
With a powerful sailing rig, modern tate of the art navigation equipment and an expert crew at the helm, Eclipse is set for quite an adventure across the Indian Ocean.
