It is very exciting times here at Eclipse Expeditions as our stunning new Leopard 50 sailing catamaran has been launched at the renowned Robertson and Caine Cape Town shipyard. She is now undergoing the installation of masts and rigging and will complete handover to Leopard following strenuous inspection, testing and sea trials.
We are incredibly grateful for the professionalism and efficiency of the workforce at Robertson and Caine, who’s expertise have ensured a seamless build of our vessel. With over 30 years experience manufacturing more than 2000 vessels for commercial and recreational use all over the world, their craftsmanship is second to none. So much so that the team at Robertson and Caine have been highly awarded worldwide, including achieving the 2019 Cruising World Boat of the Year Award: Best Charter Boat for our very own, Leopard 50.

Following handover, Eclipse will transfer to the picturesque Victoria & Albert Marina where she will be officially handed over to her new owners Eclipse Expeditions. She will then undergo a series of custom upgrades as well as a scope of compliance initiatives to meet Australia’s stringent AMSA Survey NSCV requirements for commercial vessels.
Eclipse will set sail from Cape Town in mid February 2024 with its course set for the Western Australian coastline early March, giving her time here ahead of our first Kimberley charter locked in for April 23rd, 2024.
